Every family deserves a safe neighborhood, a job that pays well, and a strong education so that every child can reach his or her full potential. If you honor me with your vote, I will continue to work hard to be a strong advocate for our neighborhoods in the west valley.
I am honored to have been asked run for Man of the Year for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in Arizona.
As you know, cancer research and treatment is a cause close to my heart. My beautiful mom is a cancer survivor! Current research shows that cancer survivors in general have an increased chance of developing cancer compared to people of the same age and gender who have not had cancer. This means that it is even more important for cancer survivors to be aware of the risk factors for second cancers and maintain good follow-up health care. My mother has had access to resources and quality care, she is very lucky.
It's scary to hear that you have cancer, and sometimes resources aren’t always available for our most vulnerable populations, our economically-disadvantaged population and limited English speakers. It is my commitment to raise awareness and funds for blood cancers and ensure that everyone has access and resources.
Did you know that chemotherapy was originally developed to treat blood cancers like Leukemia? Not only that, but in the last decade almost 40% of all cancer drugs approved by the FDA have first been approved for blood cancers? My mom is my inspiration, but the work of LLS is why I am raising funds now!
My team’s goal is to raise $100,000 in the next ten weeks. I’m working with a group of incredible leaders (#TeamTony) who are committed to reaching our goal. We’re connecting with everyone we know through letters, email, and events.
Will you be part of this team and consider a donation of $100 today?
I know that together in the next 2 months, we all can make a HUGE impact on the cancer community!
